How do I pledge for add-ons/multiple copies?

Just select a base pledge level that contains some of what you want, and then add to the dollar amount you pledge the cost of the other pledge level and/or add-on that you’d like to get. We’ll use a pledge manager after the campaign ends to let you specify what, precisely, you’d like to add on.

Will the Broken Token insert fit sleeved cards and/or the premium wooden tokens available from this campaign?

Yes to both! We’ll send them a full set of the game sleeved as well as a sample of the premium tokens for them to use in making their measurements for the final insert.

Why shouldn't I just buy the base game / Branch & Claw from retailers right now instead of adding them on to this campaign?

You totally should! Those add-ons and the high-tier pledges are convenience features for folks who’ve asked about them, not discount-bundles. Definitely go ahead and buy through your local retailer!

Can I get the core game and other existing items shipped before 2020?

No. The shipping prices built into this campaign are based around each backer getting a single shipment. If you would like any of the existing items before this Kickstarter delivers, we recommend finding them at a retailer!

Why will this campaign take so long to fulfill?

The short answer is that Spirit Island is a very art and development intensive game. Jagged Earth has been in development for over a year, and we have now gotten to the point where almost all of the content is locked down (i.e., we know which spirits and adversaries it will contain, and we have the vast majority of powers, events, scenarios, etc. locked). However, we only just started commissioning art, since the spirits and powers need to be locked down before we can do that. We also have a few more months of polishing and fine-tuning of all of the different parts to make sure the game is balanced and that everything works well together. Once the campaign ends, we’ll keep you updated monthly on art and development progress!

Could you make the Jagged Earth box big enough to fit the Broken Token insert without a lid lift?

Making the Jagged Earth box big enough to fit the organizer would make it too expensive to produce and ship, and unwieldy to store in a warehouse or on a store shelf. At some point, after we have released every expansion we plan on making for Spirit Island, we might release a limited edition giant box that fits everything, but that would be years from now.

Can I pledge $1 now, then increase my pledge after the campaign end through the pledge manager?

Yes. Yes, you can.

How can I update my pledge to add the Broken Token Box insert or any other add-on item?

If you would like to add any of the items to your order, simply log into Kickstarter and adjust your pledge according to the amounts listed in the add-on section of the campaign. You will be able to indicate which items you would like on BackerKit after the campaign.

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
