Hi folks! Maggie here with your August update!
This update is going to go over fulfillment, where you can find the Spirit Island: Jagged Earth rulebook, and the first 3 “spoiler posts” from designer R. Eric Reuss about Jagged Earth!
Fulfillment
As many of you know, fulfillment has already started in the US! It began earlier than we initially estimated because we received the container early. We are still waiting to receive the Spirit Island: Premium Tokens - they are on their way currently and should be here very soon.
Our UK fulfillment partner should be receiving their container within the next week, so fulfillment will start in the EU shortly after that.
Even though US fulfillment was able to start early, we are still anticipating the full process of the US, Canada, EU, etc backers receiving their shipments could take through the month of October. This is due to the volume of orders and their varying complexity. There’s a lot to get through, but we’re making good progress!

Spirit Island: Jagged Earth is on the ocean!

Hey folks! Maggie here with your July update.Spirit Island: Jagged Earth is on the ocean!
This update is going to be about shipping, a small FAQ, and info about a Spirit Island Digital Live Stream!
Ocean Freight
Our shipments left China last week. There are two shipments: one heading to Spiral Galaxy in the UK for anyone outside of the US (including Canada), and one heading for our warehouse in St. Louis for US fulfillment. Usually, it takes about 4-6 weeks for ocean freight to hit our warehouse, but recently it has been 6-8 weeks.
Broken Token Products
The Broken Token inserts and crates are on track to arrive at both warehouses - Spiral Galaxy’s and our own - in 6 weeks. They are currently finishing up production.
Ship Out
After speaking to our warehouse and the Spiral Galaxy warehouse, we are estimating that this ship out will take 8-12 weeks due to the volume of orders to be fulfilled and social distancing guidelines that we are following. All items in an order will be shipped at the same time; we will not be doing multiple waves of shipping.
Small FAQ
We know we will receive plenty of questions regarding the ship out, and these are just a handful of frequently asked questions that we wanted to provide answers for upfront.
I can’t get into my Backerkit to update my address. Can someone help?
Yes, definitely! Please email [email protected] and we will either unlock your profile so you can update your address or manually update your address ourselves. When you email, please let us know the name on the profile and the email address associated with it.
I saw Jagged Earth available through X. Why is the game available for sale already when the campaign isn’t finished fulfilling?
The listing is false, or a pre-order. Either way, these products will not be available for purchase on our webstore or through other retailers until after this campaign has been fulfilled. You may see pre-orders through online retailers, we do allow this but they will not receive any product until we have completed fulfillment, regardless of what date their website might list.
I’m moving in X months. Should I update to my new shipping address or will my package get to me before then?
We cannot guarantee exactly when your package will arrive. If you are worried about this, we suggest that you change your address to your work address, a friend or family member’s address, or have it shipped to a UPS store, Post Office, etc. The last option does involve opening a personal or business mailbox. Please do that before changing your address.
Backerkit is locked and I want to add items. Can someone please help?
At this point, we can’t allow additional items or new preorders to be placed. We have locked the campaign so that we can prepare for fulfillment. All items will be available for purchase either through regular retail, on our website, or on the Broken Token website.
Can we have tracking information for the ships so we can see where they are at?
We do not have this information currently, but we will try to provide it in our next update.
Spirit Island: Jagged Earth Backerkit is closing on June 30th!

Production is finished!

Hi folks! This update covers about where we are at with production, and what our current shipping plan is.
Production
Spirit Island: Jagged Earth and all the material being printed with it have completed production! They were assembled last week and are currently being put into containers to be shipped to the US, and the UK where European fulfillment will be completed.
Shipping Plan
Generally, ocean freight takes 5-6 weeks to arrive from China. We expect the containers to arrive at our warehouse and our European fulfillment partners warehouse around mid-July.
At this time, we are working with our warehouse and our fulfillment partner to determine the most efficient ship out plan for this Kickstarter. We will have more information in our July 7th update.
We will be closing the Backerkit on Wednesday, June 30th. Until then, please feel free to update your orders and addresses. If you need any assistance, please email us at [email protected].

New Spirit Spotlight, Pre-Production pictures, and more!

Hello, and welcome to your May update!
This update will have pre-production photos (YAY!), our timeline, a Backerkit reminder, more Print-and-Play files and live streams, and a brand new Spirit Spotlight!
Pre-Production Photos
Last Thursday we received the pre-production copy of Spirit Island: Jagged Earth for us to review. Our amazing graphic designer, SaRae Henderson, is reviewing it this week and will then be shipping it off to our friends over at The Broken Token, so they can ensure the Broken Token insert and box are still accurate.
Similar to our last update, Spirit Island: Jagged Earth is still in the process of being printed. We are still on track for printing and assembly to finish in late May or early June!
Backerkit
This is your reminder that we will be closing Backerkit and finalizing orders on May 8th! Please complete your surveys, update your addresses, and add your final items by May 8th at 11:59 PM.

Print-and-Play and Livestream Schedule
After talking it over with Eric, he agreed that we could release another Spirit Island: Jagged Earth spirit for everyone hungry for more content during social distancing!
